We’re strong believers in the benefits of creativity, community, and craftsmanship. That’s why we are continuing to support the 48 Hour Challenge, a fantastic annual event that unites scale modelers from around the world in support of Models for Heroes—a charity dedicated to improving the mental health of veterans, active service members, and first responders through the therapeutic benefits of model building.

What is the 48 Hour Group Build Challenge?

The 48-48 Challenge is a unique and inclusive online group build event that brings together scale model enthusiasts of all skill levels. Participants commit to building a 1/48 scale model kit within 48 hours, fostering creativity, camaraderie, and a shared sense of achievement. More than just a fun challenge, the event is a powerful fundraiser, ensuring that the work of Models for Heroes continues to reach those in need. This year, the challenge kicks off on Friday, 14th March 2025, registration link below!

The Mission Behind Models for Heroes

Models for Heroes (M4H) is the first UK-based charitable organization dedicated to using model making as a tool for recovery and well-being among former and current Armed Forces and Emergency Service personnel. The charity provides model kits, tools, and workshops to veterans and service members struggling with PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Through model making, they find a creative outlet that promotes focus, fine motor skills, and social connection—critical elements in their recovery journey.

Since its founding in 2017, M4H has grown into a community-driven initiative, with donations pouring in from modelers around the world. Every contribution helps supply kits, materials, and support to those who need them most.
