IT HAS FINALLY LANDED - The 1/32 A-20G Havoc is here!

A20

Hong Kong Model's latest addition to their classic 1/32 warbird range is a kit that has been long awaited since rumours first circulated a decade ago. The Douglas A-20 Havoc (or Boston as it is known in RAF/Commonwealth service) is a successful light attack bomber design that has seen extensive service in all theatres during World War 2. Hong Kong Models 1/32 kit is the first in the scale, and it is a subject worth building as a standalone display, or as a part of numerous diorama possibilities!

What makes this release so special is the inclusion of a shaped nose weight, a big deal since the Havoc/Boston has a clear glass nose which makes inserting weight a challenge for some. This first production release has the shaped metal weights designed to comfortably fit into the hidden recesses and prevent the aircraft from tail-sitting.

Here's how the nose weight looks in the box.

First announced a few months ago, we were lucky to have Hong Kong models share a pre-production kit for us to sample. Watch below our initial thoughts.

Our very own Max Shaw immediately proceeded with the build of the test shot, and was amazed about the quality of the kit as well as the build experience. See the progress below.

Max soon after unboxed the production kit, and as we can see in the next video, the kit was not far from the test shots, not missing a beat of detail from nose to tail.

This kit is highly anticipated and we are excited to see Max finishes up his A-20, and we are hoping to see it on display soon!
