So this is a Renault Alpine, a 1/10 on road car based on the Tamiya M-06 chassis kit, which replicates in scale the real life car, which was also a real wheel drive. The real Alpine had fantastic traction and it had many rally wins throughout its racing career.

This particular car is painted in metallic blue of the Alpine works team which ran in a Monte Carlo rally.

Like the real car, this M-06 has a rear motor and rear wheel drive setup, so plenty of weight on the rear. The battery is mounted longtitudally with the RC gears on either side of the chassis, and a four wheel wishbone suspension with lovely super group radial tyres on the car.

Its quite realistic for an RC car, with a sweet little chassis and one of my favorite builds. The sticker set is moderately difficult. All the lights and the base markings are all stickers.

Kit instructions will ask you to paint the light in a light clear yellow, then you place the clear stickers over to give that lovely realistic effect. It may look challenging but once done its quite rewarding.

Unfortunately this kit is now discontinued, but they have brought out just recently a Jagermeister style kit which is quite identical to this particular kit chassis. The M-06 chassis can be found in the current Lotus Europa kit, also from Tamiya.

You may see our entire Tamiya RC kit lineup here!

That's it for me - till next time! Dennis
