Zvezda 5071 1/72 Russian Main Battle Tank T-72B3

T-72B3 is a modification of the Russian main battle tank of the T-72 family, developed in 2011 at Uralvagonzavod in Nizhny Tagil. T-72B3 is fast and maneuverable. Diesel V-84-1 with a power of 840 hp. accelerates the tank along the highway to a speed of 65 km/h, so it uses new tracks with parallel rubber-metal track joints. The highlight of the T-72B3 was the improved 2A46M-5 smoothbore gun, which allows it to fire high-power ammunition. The Sosna-U multi-channel gunner's sight with a thermal imager and automatic target tracking allows for accurate fire while moving at a distance of up to 5 km. The “boxes” of the Kontakt 5 dynamic protection complex are placed on the turret and hull of the tank to increase the protection of armored vehicles from the damaging effects of sub-caliber armor-piercing and cumulative projectiles.
