Windspeed Sea Turtle Single String Kite

The Sea Turtle kite is a magnificently printed design that kids and adults alike will love seeing in the sky!

It is a very stable kite in the sky and flies in a wide wind range from Light to Fresh winds with a great looking ‘Spinsock’ tail that clips on for even more stable flying on fresher winds. The Sea Turtle is what we call a ‘wide body’ kite shape, in fact it’s nearly square (just like a real sea turtle really.) the Sea Turtles brilliant colours of blues, greens and oranges really make the kite stand out against a summer sky!

Kids really love flying the Sea Turtle kite because it is very steady in the sky. It has a curved fiberglass frame that sweeps its flippers out, up and back to make it more streamlined through the water, ah, I mean the sky! The Sea Turtle, like all of our kites, comes complete with flying string on a handle. In this case it’s 30kg breaking strain twisted nylon line. In other words, everything you need to fly your Sea Turtle kite is in the bag…just bring your smiles and some wind!

The Sea Turtle is a large kite (about 1.2 metres) and this large sail area gives it great lift in light winds while the spinsock tail makes it really stable as the wind picks up. It has a 5mm hollow fibreglass frame to keep it’s wings spread in flight. The hollow rods give it an excellent ‘sail to weight ratio’ which is kite-speak for not weighing much for it’s size. Made with ripstop nylon sailcloth and super strong fiberglass, the Sea Turtle kite will give you years of relaxing flying.

This Sea Turtle kite is in the ‘others’ category. It’s not a delta, it’s not a diamond nor is it a long dragon. As a Single String kite it’s very well suited to kids of most ages in light and medium winds. It’s large sail area give it lift and it’s spinsock tail give the Sea Turtle kite excellent stability.
