Trumpeter 01569 1/35 Russian KV-85 Heavy Tank

The KV-85 began as the 239 project and is a temporary upgrade of the KV series. A newly designed IS-85 turret was installed on the KV-1S chassis. The main weapon was a D-5T 85mm gun with SU-85 and early T-34/85. Due to the excessive demand for artillery, the production speed of the KV-85 slowed down, eventually producing only 148 vehicles. Production of the KV-85 began in the fall of 1943 and ended in 1944. It was deployed to the front line in September 43. In the spring of 44 years, the new IS-2 tank fully replaced KV-85.
