Trumpeter 01080 1/35 US MK23 MTVR MAS Truck

The MTVR is a six-wheel drive, seven-ton all-terrain tactical truck developed for the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy.

Designed to replace the aging M939 military truck, it first entered service in 1998 after a production contract was signed with Oshkosh. The MTVR has also seen the development of a series of variants, expanding its application range. Its off-road capabilities have been greatly improved.

The MTVR Armored System (MAS) is designed specifically for 7-ton MTVR trucks. It provides 360-degree all-around protection, with the crew area protected by Mil-A-46100 high-strength alloy steel. It can be selected based on the personnel transport configuration. The MAS is available in two versions: a standard configuration and a deformable design to address height restrictions, allowing the vehicle to deform to a height of 98 inches when transported by naval vessels. The armored protection system can cover a weight of up to 10,500 pounds including cargo and personnel.
