Tomix N DD51-1000 JR West Japan with Air Conditioner

The DD51 locomotives inherited by JR West have seen their operational scope diminish due to the discontinuation of passenger trains, but some continue to operate today, primarily for towing engineering trains and vehicles entering and leaving factories.

In the 2020s, they were equipped with air conditioning, and one side window of the cab was filled in, with an additional duct added to their exterior.
