Tomix 98704 N JR 24 Series 25 Type Limited Express Sleeper (Hokutosei/JR East Spec.) Passenger 7 Car Basic Set B

The Hokutosei is a sleeper express train that ran between Ueno and Sapporo in 1988, coinciding with the opening of the Seikan Tunnel, and boasts luxurious facilities such as private sleeping compartments and lounge cars.

The Orone 24-500 belonging to JR East is the only twin-DX car converted from the Ohane 24, and is different from the other Orone 25s, which are converted from Ohane 25-100s, in terms of the size of the sleeping compartment side windows and the air conditioning.

Of the four Oha 25-500s, the 504th car had no direction sign.

The Kani 24-510, converted from the Kani 24-100, is rarely used for Hokutosei service, but its white stripe, which had undergone renovation work, made it quite noticeable and attracted attention.

• New current collecting system and black wheels are used.
