It is considered one of the most elegant commercial aircraft ever built: the Lockheed L.1049G, affectionately known as "Super Connie". With its dolphin-shaped fuselage shape and characteristic triple vertical tail, it is an icon of aviation. On the occasion of Lufthansa's upcoming 100th anniversary, Revell is bringing back this classic as an exclusive model set. The construction of the L.1049G is a homage to the design of the 50s. You put the curved fuselage together, mount the four powerful propeller engines and attach the distinctive tail. From 1955, Lufthansa used the Super Constellation on its long-haul routes, especially to North America. It was the backbone of the airline's resurgence after the war.
