The Lavochkin La-9 is a Soviet, single-engine fighter plane with a metal structure, in a low wing configuration with a classic tail. The flight of the prototype took place in 1946, and in the same year the plane entered mass production. The La-9 was a development of the La-7 aircraft. The differences were in creating a new wing with no slots. The plane was covered with duralumin sheet. The space between the pilot's cabin and the vertical stabilizer has also been remodeled. However, the drive unit did not change - the ASz-82FN engine was still used. La-9 also had a much greater range. In total, 1,559 examples of this machine were built. From 1947, the La-9 entered the line units. It was also exported to China, Romania and Poland. La-9 was used in combat during the Korean War.

Molded in gray and clear plastic, this kit includes photo-etched parts, film and decals.
