Italeri 1482S 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb was a pivotal variant of the iconic British fighter aircraft during World War II. Introduced in 1941, it featured a strengthened wing structure capable of housing two 20mm Hispano Mk II cannons and four .303 Browning machine guns, enhancing its firepower. Powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine, the Mk.Vb achieved a maximum speed of approximately 360 mph (580 km/h) and had a service ceiling of around 34,000 feet (10,400 meters). This model played a crucial role in the Battle of Britain and subsequent campaigns, serving with both the Royal Air Force and Allied air forces. Over 3,900 Mk.Vb units were produced, making it one of the most widely used Spitfire variants.
