TEACH KIDS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF A HYBRID ENGINE - Hybrid vehicles have been around since the early 1900s, but due to the historically cheap cost of fuel, they did not become widely popular until the mid to late 1990s. The word "hybrid" means "made up of two separate parts," and in the context of vehicles, it refers to a vehicle that is powered by both an internal combustion engine and an electric motor.

EDUCATIONAL FOR KIDS - This model is not meant to be a copy of any particular prototype engine but is designed to demonstrate the broad concepts of a hybrid engine. The hybrid module connected to the combustion engine doesn't 'work', but it uses fibre optic cables to show how electricity flows to the power supply when the combustion engine is running and charging, as well as how the battery surges when the engine is running on a combination of combustion and electricity or just electricity.

ENJOYABLE TO BUILD - The model is enjoyable to construct, and the kit includes all the tools you'll need as well as over 100 pieces to complete the operating model. It comes with its own simple, yet extensive, instruction manual featuring lots of easy-to-follow diagrams and illustrations.
