The Hiller YH-32 Hornet was an American light multirole helicopter from the post-war period. The prototype flight took place in 1950, and the machine was put on the line in 1954. In total, it is estimated that about 20 helicopters of this type were built. The propulsion was provided by two Hiller 8RJ2B rocket engines with a thrust of 0.18 kN each. The hull length of this machine was 6.9 meters, and the main rotor diameter was approx. 9.75 meters. The maximum take-off weight oscillated around 490 kilograms, and the maximum speed did not exceed 130 km / h.

The Hiller YH-32 Hornet was developed for the American armed forces, which in the early 1950s sought to obtain a light, multi-purpose helicopter that would perform observation and transport tasks in a short distance from the front line. The new machine was to serve both in the army and the navy. After a series of tests, a small batch of these machines entered service in the US Army and the US Navy.
