Trumpeter 00312 1/35 Russian KV-2 Tank

While the KV-1M 1941 was being produced, the KV-2 (also known as the KV-2M 1941) also entered production. The KV-2 was characterized by its turret shape. The turret, equipped with a 152mm howitzer, was a hexagonal cuboid, resembling a giant box. However, it is said that due to its excessive weight, even rotating the turret was extremely difficult if it was not on a level surface. Because of this drawback, the KV-2 was used in actual combat only for suppressing German fire, and not for counter-offensive trench warfare.
