Trumpeter 01559 1/35 M1133 Stryker MEV

The M1133 Stryker MEV is an important armored ambulance. Its service provides enhanced medical evacuation capabilities, carrying not only a three-person medic team but also four NATO standard stretchers or six seated casualties. The M1133 Stryker MEV offers armored protection, ample lighting, readily available medical equipment, and medical services for wounded and sick personnel and medical teams. The M1133 Stryker MEV provides essential health services to troops, ensuring safety and improving soldier survivability.

The first five Stryker MEV medical evacuation vehicles rolled off the production line in Aniston, Alabama, in late fall 2002. Before leaving the factory, they were sent to the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland and the Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona for testing. In March 2003, the Stryker brigade began receiving the vehicles at Fort Lewis, Washington. A fully equipped Stryker brigade requires 17 M1133 vehicles.
