Trumpeter 05596 1/35 Russian BRDM-1

The BRDM-1 is an amphibious armored reconnaissance vehicle designed by the former Soviet Union. It was originally called BRDM, and when BRDM-2 entered production for the Soviet Red Army in 1962, it was renamed BRDM-1. BRDM (also known as BTR-40P) first appeared in 1957 and was in production until 1966. Total production is around 10,000 vehicles, and reserves in some countries are still less than 600 vehicles. Some of them were modified into 3M6 anti-tank guided missile vehicles.
