Trumpeter 01078 1/35 M920 Tractor tow M870A1 Semi Trailer

The M920 is a model of the M915 series military truck manufactured by General Electric, used for towing heavy semi-trailers on highways and in the field. It has a longer wheelbase than the M916 and features a pair of air-suspension-operated, liftable non-drive axles, providing an additional 20,000 pounds of load capacity. A 45,000-pound hydraulic winch is located behind the cab.

The M920 uses a Cummins NTC-400 turbocharged diesel engine, producing 400 horsepower at 2100 rpm. It is paired with a Caterpillar 7155 semi-automatic transmission (16 forward gears, 2 reverse gears). The brakes are air drum brakes.

The M920 series trucks/tractors use an 8×6 drive system, where 8 represents the total number of axles and 6 represents the number of drive wheels.
