Trumpeter 00386 1/35 Italian B1 Centauro Tank Destroyer

The "Centauro" is a four-axle drive wheeled armored vehicle. Its perfect mechanical configuration, powerful firepower and perfect electronic equipment make it one of the best wheeled armored vehicles in the world. The Italian Army ordered 400 "Centauro" wheeled armored vehicles in 1989. Just one year after the first batch of "Centauro" armored vehicles were delivered to the troops, in 1993, 20 "Centauro" armored vehicles were used in the United Nations peacekeeping operations in Somalia. Due to the outstanding performance of the "Centauro", the Spanish Army also ordered 22 vehicles in 1999 and added 62 of this type of armored vehicles in 2002. The third unit equipped with this type of armored vehicle is the Egyptian Army.
