The 313 series is a commuter train for the Nagoya and Shizuoka areas that was introduced in 1998.

The 5000 series, which was introduced in 2006, is the first of its kind to have a fixed 6-car formation and is mainly used for "Special Rapid" and "Special Rapid" services in the Nagoya area.
