An upper deck truss bridge is a bridge that is installed in places where there is a large space under the girders.

Because the track is on top of the truss, reinforcement in the direction of the sleepers can be made inside the truss, making it stronger than a lower deck truss bridge and allowing the height of the piers to be lowered.
