Meng 1/72 German Heavy Tank Sd.Kfz.182 King Tiger (Porsche Turret) Model Kit

The King Tiger, also known as the Tiger II, is a heavy tank developed by Germany. With the Soviet Union deploying powerful tanks, Germany was compelled to further develop the Tiger I. It boasted a more powerful main gun than the Tiger I and robust armor developed from the Panther. The King Tiger, created by Germany, shocked other countries, and when deployed in defensive positions, it was unparalleled in its strength. However, compared to its massive body of nearly 70 tons, the engine was weak, resulting in significant problems with mobility. The King Tiger was initially ordered from Porsche and Henschel, and the first 50 production vehicles were equipped with a turret prepared for the Porsche design (Porsche turret), while subsequent vehicles were equipped with a turret designed by Henschel.
