The AMP 48026 Schneider Trophy Series Supermarine S.6A is a high-quality 1/48 scale plastic model kit of a British racing seaplane developed for the prestigious Schneider Trophy competition. The aircraft was used by Great Britain during the interwar period , when competition for speed records fueled the development of modern aviation.

The Supermarine S.6A was a development of earlier Supermarine designs and marked a significant milestone in the development of the aircraft led by Reginald Mitchell. The experience gained during its design contributed to the later record-breaking S.6 and S.6B seaplanes, and ultimately to the legendary Supermarine Spitfire fighter. Aircraft of this family competed in the Schneider Trophy competitions in the late 1920s and early 1930s, setting new standards in performance and aerodynamics.

The model is made of high-quality plastic and faithfully reproduces the aircraft's distinctive fuselage, floats, and sleek silhouette. It's an excellent model kit for enthusiasts of historical aviation, record-breaking designs, and interwar aircraft.
