The AMP 48025 Supermarine S-6 is a detailed 1/48 scale plastic model kit of the legendary British racing seaplane that played a key role in the development of modern aviation. Designed by Reginald Mitchell for Supermarine, it was used by Great Britain between the wars .

The Supermarine S-6 was built specifically for the Schneider Trophy, the premier international seaplane race. The aircraft entered service in the late 1920s and achieved spectacular successes between 1929 and 1931, setting speed records. Lessons learned from the S-6's development were later incorporated into the design of the famed Supermarine Spitfire fighter.

The model is made of high-quality plastic and faithfully reproduces the aircraft's aerodynamic silhouette and distinctive floats. It's an excellent model kit for enthusiasts of aviation history and unusual aircraft designs.
