Background information

The Messerschmitt Bf 109E was among the most powerful fighter aircraft of its time and became a mainstay of the German Luftwaffe in the early stages of World War II. It demonstrated its maneuverability and firepower particularly during the Battle of Britain. The E-4 variant replicated here was flown by Major Erich Mix in France in May 1940. The Junkers Ju 87B Stuka is a symbol of the so-called "Blitzkrieg"—feared for its precision in dive-bombing attacks and its characteristic howling sound during dives. The model in this set represents the version that saw action over Libya in 1941—a piece of aviation history that you can now bring to life with your own hands.
