The 1st release for the New PLATZ / ITALERI Aircraft series is the U.S. NAVY F-14A TOMCAT "Jolly Rogers" with 3 marking themes, a special emblem sticker and masking sheet.

The F-14A Tomcat has been operated as the main carrier-based fighter by the U.S. Navy since 1973. The F-14A Tomcat adopted the automatically controllable variable-sweep wing to achieve both mobility or weapon loading capacity and takeoff/landing performance. In addition to the AWG-9 radar and AIM-54 Phoenix missile with an effective range of about 160 km, The F-14A Tomcat can simultaneously attack up to six aircraft. The F-14 kept upgrading and played an active part in the U.S. Navy's fleet air defense mission for 30 years.
