The F/A-18 Hornet is active as the main fighter not only in the US Navy but also in other countries around the world. The Royal Australian Air Force(RAAF) has been operating the first mass-produced A/B type since the early 1980s. In the bilateral training "BUSHIDO GUARDIAN 19", the RAAF F/A-18 Hornet flew to Chitose Airbase in Hokkaido and attracted the attention. One of the F/A18 belonging to 77SQ with special marking (A21-39) for its 77th anniversary became a big focus. Especially the oriental stone lion, which is the mascot of the unit, drawing on the tail wing left a strong impression.
