Orion Figures 071 1/72 WWII Finnish Tankmen

Finland fought its own war against the Soviets and also as allied of Germany for a time. Armor was always few and many of the armor used were captured tanks from the Soviets, mainly T-26s, BT-5s or BT-7s, but they also operated some StuG III Ausf. G received from Germany in the 1943-1944 period, and few more tanks or armored cars in quite limited numbers. The box cover shows a British Vickers 6-Ton tank, which suggests a Winter War and early Continuation War suitable crew. As any other army the Finnish army introduced changes during the conflict but their lack of resources produced a mix of new, old or captured elements in the uniformity during all the conflict, a captured T-34 turret also appear on the front box cover.

The box contains 48 figures in 12 different poses, a 4x equal sprue format very common in Orion sets. The poses are a mix of resting and in action poses, some of them suitable to seat over the vehicles, and none in particular using “half body” way to use in coupulas or hatches, though you can perform heavy surgery to some of the poses if required.
