JTCC (Japan Touring Car Championship) is a touring car race that started in Japan in 1994. Toyota fielded the Corona ST191, a further improvement of the locally developed racing machine that was initiated in 1993. The body of the four-door Corona sedan has not changed significantly in appearance, and the 1998cc four-cylinder engine is mounted horizontally in the front. The suspension and other parts were also specially tuned. In the 1994 race, 3 to 5 cars participated; in addition to winning the Suzuka 500km, it was in contention for the championship until the final race.
NuNu's new-mold kit of the Toyota Corona ST191 comes with new parts such as wheels and grilles; decals are included for Team Cerumo's machine, as well as Takuya Kurosawa's car number 38 with markings of the Inter TEC competitor.
The interior features details such as the roll bar, and the undercarriage is also carefully modeled.
