Here comes the late model of the Messerschmitt Bf109 G-6 as the variation kit of Item 61117 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf109 G-6 (which recreates the early production model) in our legendary 1/48 Aircraft Series. Inheriting the faithfully recreated form based upon extensive research and open or closed engine cowlings (interchangeable even after assembly) from Item 61117, this kit authentically features new parts to recreate characteristics such as the engine cowlings used for the Bf109 G-6 late model, an Erla Haube canopy, and 21cm rocket launchers under its wing. Enjoy comparing the differences between Item 61117 and this kit!

Features

  • The Tamiya 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 Late Model accurately represents one of the most widely produced and heavily armed variants of Germany’s iconic World War II fighter.
  • The G-6 late version featured refinements introduced during 1944, including revised engine cowlings, tall tail configuration on many aircraft, and late-war external details reflecting operational experience.
  • This kit captures the compact yet aggressive lines of the Bf 109 with Tamiya’s renowned precision moulding and excellent surface detail.
  • Finely engraved panel lines, a well-detailed cockpit, and accurately shaped wings and fuselage ensure an authentic scale appearance.
  • The model includes options for late-war Luftwaffe markings, allowing builders to recreate aircraft from the final stages of the conflict.
  • Designed for ease of assembly while maintaining high accuracy, this 1/48 scale kit is ideal for both experienced modellers and those looking to build a high-quality representation of a classic WWII fighter.
  • The Bf 109 G-6 Late Model remains a cornerstone of Luftwaffe aviation history and a must-have subject for any Second World War aircraft collection.
