The German Heavy Cruiser Admiral Hipper from WWII, named after Admiral Franz von Hipper, was the lead ship from Admiral Hipper's class of heavy cruisers used by Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine. The cruiser built by Blom and Voss from Hamburg builders was laid down on July 6th, 1935, launched on February 6th, 1937 and commissioned on April 29th, 1939 and took part in the German invasion of Norway. This fast German cruiser could have speeds of up to 37mph (32 knots). After being damaged and partially repaired, it evacuated the refugees from the Eastern Front and was decommissioned in January 1945. With over 402 parts, this model kit faithfully recreates the Admiral Hipper, a German Heavy Cruiser from 1941, on a 1/350 scale. The fully assembled model is 53.14cm long and 6.16cm wide.
