Artesania Pen Duick Easy Wooden Model Kit

Discover the new Pen Duick, the updated wooden model of  this French racing cutter  owned by Éric Tabarly, whose motto was: "Man needs passion to exist." Saved from poverty by Éric and his father when he was just seven years old, the Pen Duick was the first in a series of boats with which Tabarly achieved numerous victories in various competitions. He was, without a doubt, one of the greatest sailors in history.

Born in Nantes in 1931,  Tabarly developed a great passion for the sea and sailing  from childhood  . He achieved  great victories and shattered records  in an era when Anglo-Saxons dominated ocean racing. Far from resting on his laurels, he continued  building increasingly efficient boats and winning regattas . He met his end when he disappeared in the waters of the English Channel while sailing his old Pen Duick to participate in a classic Scottish sailing regatta.
