I Love Kit 61619 1/16 M4A3E8 Sherman Medium Tank Early

During this war, with the German armored forces equipping themselves with the 75mm long-barreled gun of the Pz.Kpfw IV tank, and the emergence of the heavy Pz.Kpfw V "Panther" and Pz.Kpfw VI "Tiger" tanks, the armor penetration capability of the American 75mm m3 gun became insufficient. To solve this problem, the T23 tank turret was tested on the M4, which carried a 76mm M1 long-barreled gun and had an M62 gun shield. From January 1944 to April 1945, mass production of the M4 tank with the T23 turret continued until April 1945. All Sherman tanks equipped with the 76mm gun were designated "76". The M4A3E8 was the last Sherman variant and can be considered its outstanding achievement at the time. It had a very good balance of capabilities, with improvements in firepower, armor, and mobility, making it comparable to the Russian T-34/85 and the German Panther.
