The Leopard 2 A4 is a third-generation main battle tank developed by Germany, which entered mass production in 1985 and was gradually deployed to troops. The tank is equipped with a Rheinmetall 120mm Rh120-L44 smoothbore gun, capable of firing a variety of munitions including DM-series APFSDS (armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot) rounds and multi-purpose high-explosive shells. Paired with an advanced fire control system, the Leopard 2A4 boasts a high first-round hit probability among third-generation tanks.
