Gecko Models 1/35 British Infantry Tank Mk.I Matilda I

Gecko Models 35GM0063 Matilda I (A11 Type I) 1/35 scale is a model kit of a British infantry tank from the early period of World War II. The kit faithfully reproduces one of the first British battle tanks of the conflict.

Equipped with only one heavy machine gun, this vehicle was extremely small and lightweight, and its development concept was a "moving machine gun turret" for direct infantry support.

During the Western Blitzkrieg of 1940, the heavy 65mm frontal armor repelled German anti-tank shells, but the vehicle was not effective with only one machine gun, and was soon withdrawn from the front lines and used in the home country as a training vehicle.
