The S12 series, representing the fourth-generation Silvia and the second-generation Gazelle, debuted in August 1983 as a full model change from the previous S110 series. While retaining the sharp, linear styling of its predecessor, the S12 embraced the flowing, aerodynamic lines that reflected the design trends of the time. Featuring fully retractable headlights concealed within a low, aggressive hood and flush-surface full doors, the S12 exuded a sleek, fighter jet-like presence.
