The Percival Proctor Mk.III (Civil Registration) in 1/48 scale (DW48016) captures the elegance of post-war general aviation. Dora Wings presents this highly detailed kit, focusing on the refined appearance of the Proctor in private ownership. The larger 1/48 scale allows for a beautifully detailed cabin, reflecting the more comfortable interiors found in these civilian conversions compared to their spartan military counterparts.

Following the end of World War II, hundreds of Percival Proctor Mk.III aircraft were declared surplus by the RAF and Royal Navy. These rugged, reliable wooden aircraft were quickly snapped up by civilian pilots and charter companies. Many were refurbished, stripped of their military radio equipment, and repainted in vibrant civilian liveries. The Proctor became a common sight at British and European airfields throughout the late 1940s and 1950s, serving as a fast, four-seat “executive” transport and participating in numerous post-war air races, carrying on the sporting legacy of its predecessor, the Vega Gull.
