Hobby Boss 1/48 A-4P Sky Hawk

Hobby Boss 81797 represents the A-4P, the Argentine version of the Skyhawk. It was not a separate Douglas production variant but a set of refurbished and upgraded A-4B airframes taken over from the US Navy, delivered to Argentina and flown there for more than thirty years. The subject is best known from the Falklands/Malvinas war, in which the Skyhawks played a leading role.

The model belongs to the Hobby Boss tooling family developed for the A-4 Skyhawk and keeps the accessible engineering typical of the manufacturer. The box contains plastic sprues, clear canopy parts and a waterslide decal sheet, with an illustrated instruction manual guiding the assembly. The compact shape of the Skyhawk makes for a small but striking model in 1:48 scale.
