Games Workshop Shade paints make adding realistic shadows and lowlights to your models easy. They are designed to run into the recesses of your miniatures, providing excellent results with minimal effort.

Base – Step 1

You can either apply Shades straight from the pot to your miniature or thin them on your palette. Then apply them to the areas you want them to shade.

Base – Step 2

If you’ve applied too much, wick the paint off with a wet brush. If you want to create more contrast, or cleaner surfaces, re-apply your Base or Layer paints to the raised areas.
