When thinking of Japanese cars from the '90s and early 2000s, the Subaru Impreza and its archenemy, the Mitsubishi Lancer, immediately come to mind! The "Evo" models are the sports versions of "Mitsu's" sedan. Starting in 1992, and for over a decade, they represented the Japanese brand in rally racing. In 1996, Tommi Mäkinen secured his first title driving the EVO III. Naturally, this victory drew many rally enthusiasts to the production version, which produced 270 horsepower thanks to its turbocharged engine. And it wasn't uncommon for fans of the Flying Finn to replicate the official livery on their own cars, especially if they were original white.
