Hobby Master 1/72 F-16B Chase Plane 78-0099 6510th Test Wing 1990

The USAF 6510th Test Wing at Edwards Air Force Base operated F-16B Fighting Falcons as chase aircraft supporting flight test programs conducted by the Air Force and NASA. The two seat F-16B provided an ideal platform for observation, safety monitoring, and photographic documentation of experimental aircraft during test flights. Pilots flew close formation with research aircraft to evaluate performance and assist with mission support. Working alongside NASA programs at Edwards, the 6510th Test Wing contributed to the development of advanced aerospace technologies. The F-16B's excellent visibility, maneuverability, and performance made it a highly effective chase plane.
