Air Force 1 1/72 USAF Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird 61-17960 Shark on Tail

The Lockheed SR-71"Blackbird" is a US Air Force reconnaissance aircraft produced in the sixties by Lockheed's Skunk Works. American aerospace engineer Clarence "Kelly" Johnson was responsible for many of the groundbreaking ideas used in the series. The SR-71 operated at extraordinary speeds and elevations during surveillance missions allowing it to outrace many threats, including missiles. During service, the SR-71 has received several nicknames, the most famous of which are "Blackbird" and "Habu." Over time, versions with different purposes were developed. The development version was the SR-71A, while later versions had different uses. The SR-71B was a training version, and the SR-71C was a composite aircraft made from the rear fuselage of the first IF-1. This diecast is an accurate replica of the SR-71 Blackbird, serial number 61-7960, and measures 23.5cm wide and 45.1cm in length.
