Hornby NSE MK1 BSK 35010

The British Railways Mark 1 coach family includes some of the most successful designs in railway history, with thousands constructed and lasting from the early 50’s right up until the present day. In the blue, white and red livery of NSE, this Brake Second Corridor No. 35010 is the perfect accompaniment for 1980s and 1990s British diesel locomotives!

London & South Eastern was a new area of operation set up as part of the Sectorisation of BR in 1982. In June 1986 it was relaunched as Network SouthEast with a bold new branding in red, white and blue. As well as the third-rail electrified network to the south of London, the NSE network also reached as far west as Exeter and the inner part of the East of England. Former BR-liveried Mk1 coaching stock, such as this Corridor Brake Second, was repainted in the new colour scheme for locomotive-hauled trains on longer-distance services.
