How to Care for Your RC Boat

To maintain your brushless RC boat, you should read the model's manual and follow the care instructions, however, here are the general things you need to do to look after your boat after use:

• Remove the drain plug and tip out all the water in the hull and canopy.
• Remove batteries and dry the contacts.
• Spray all metal parts with lubricant or water-displacing light oil after contact with water.
• Always ensure the RC boat is dry before storing (keep in mind that water/oil may drip for a few hours after use).
• Use compressed air to dry the boat and remove any water that's gotten into the boat's crevices.
• Never clean your boat with high-pressure water as it can damage it.

Most of our brushless RC boats can reach a speed of between 30+ to 55+ mph.

Are brushless motors better than brushed motors?

Yes, brushless motors are the better choice compared to brushed motors when you’re considering buying an RC boat. They offer a smoother, more powerful and efficient ride than their brushed counterparts. They're also able to support higher speeds and greater loads. Brushless motor boats are quiet and fun, and great for beginners to get started with because they're not as complicated to use as other types of RC boats.

What size brushless motor is best for RC boats?

The size of your brushless motor directly impacts the speed and torque of your boat. If you want a boat that can reach higher speeds, you'll need to get a larger-sized brushless motor. When you’re choosing the size of your brushless motor, consider your boat's weight and hull type, the maximum current draw from the battery pack, the available space in your hull (the smaller the motor, the more room it will take up), and the desired top speed and acceleration.

Can our RC boats be used in saltwater?

Yes, most of our boats can be used in salt water unless instructed otherwise, however, you should clean and rinse them afterwards as salt water is corrosive and can affect the durability of your remote control boat. Keep in mind if that product manual says to avoid using your boat in saltwater, you may void the warranty by doing so.

Can our remote control boats be used for racing?

Yes! If you're after an RC boat for racing, you can definitely find a speed boat model in our range but you'll probably want to opt for one that is built for speed so we recommend choosing one that is 50+ mph.
