A&A Models 7228 1/72 Douglas AD-5W Skyraider

The AD Skyraider is a ship-borne attack aircraft developed by the American Douglas Company and operated by the U.S. Navy after World War II.

It was the world's largest/heaviest single-engine propeller-driven aircraft in mass production.

The AD-5W is a double-seat early warning aircraft with a side-by-side configuration developed from the single-seat AD-4.

The AD-5W has an enlarged vertical tail area and AN/APS-20 radar mounted under the fuselage, and a seat for the radar operator is located behind the cockpit.

The kit consists of injection parts from the former Scale Wings with newly molded canopy and cockpit parts, etched and painted mask stickers, and three new U.S. Navy decals.

When completed, it will measure approximately 169mm in length and 212mm in width.
