Trumpeter 00222 1/35 Soviet PL-37 Light Artillery Wagon

This was a standardized light rail-mounted armored gun truck manufactured by the Soviet Union starting in the first year of World War II, with approximately 24 units produced. Its turret was the same as the earlier PL-35, with modifications made to the superstructure. Although the trains used were very large, the interior space was quite cramped due to the large number of weapons installed. Because it was very vulnerable to air raids, it was frequently painted with camouflage paint; the style varied from unit to unit, typically using black and sandy yellow paint over a standard green background.
