Kotare 1/32 Spitfire

The first Kotare Spitfire is here! Many had thought the closing of the mighty Wingnut Wings model company meant an end to all their planned future releases. This was proven wrong by Border Models releasing the 1/32 Lancaster, and now New Zealand company Kotare has taken on the opportunity to release the planned Spitfire Mk1 family - and the first kit, the Mk1a mid model, is here!

The Spitfire does not need no introduction, but maybe a lot are asking why the need for another 1/32 kit? The answer is simple - there has not been a modern tool of the first models of the Spitfire in this scale since Revell first releases theirs over 50 years ago!

We had a closer look at the sprues in the box and we have to say they are absolutely magnificent. Details can be found on both sides of most of the parts, which indicate that you have the options of exposing many components as you see fit.

The canopy parts are super clear, as is the printing of the decal sheet. But what stunned us is the mini-novel that is the instruction booklet - the amount of information about the Spitfire is all there in full colour!

There are three decal marking options for this kit, including AC Deere's NC3180 'Kiwi'.  With over 110 parts in the box, this is a definitely stunning kit worth the wait!
