Zvezda 3663 1/35 Soviet Tracked Tractor STZ-5*

Serial production of the artillery tractor-tractor STZ-5 (STZ-NATI-2TV) was mastered in 1937 at the Stalingrad Tractor Plant (STZ). The endurance of the tractor was beyond doubt - twice (in November-December 1935 and in March-April 1939) it made non-stop runs from Stalingrad to Moscow and back without breakdowns or unacceptable wear. The STZ-5 tractor was the most popular means of mechanical traction in the artillery of the Red Army. Before the start of the Great Patriotic War, 3,438 tractors of this type were produced, their production continued after the start of the war until the German infantry broke through into the territory of the Stalingrad Tractor Plant in August 1942. A total of 9944 STZ-5 were produced.
