On April 19, 1944, representatives of Krupp arrived at Ardeltwerke in Eberwald to discuss the design of a standard self-propelled gun with an 8.8 cm Pak 43 gun. Ardelt offers a second series of designs with Pak 43. This standard self-propelled gun has been designed with significant improvements and is quite satisfactory in both driving and fire tests.
At the R&D and manufacturing conference on January 9, 1945, the progress of the self-propelled artillery on the standard site with 8.8 cm Pak 43 was only: despite the use of the fastest delivery method to obtain delayed parts, in December 1944 Only two cars were manufactured before the 31st.
