The Conway was completed at the Davenport Shipyard in 1928 and underwent modernization during 193538. Thereafter, it served in the home fleet until 1941. 194142 served in the Royal Navy's Eastern Fleet to fight the Japanese army. The Conway was finally sunk in the waters southwest of Colombo, Ceylon by the Japanese First Air Force on April 5, 1942.
